Streaming, listening and other uses through a music service are governed by that service’s terms. Follow the listening links on each release for the services available.
Personal downloads
A direct Public Malfunction download is for personal use only. One purchase includes all enabled MP3 and/or WAV formats shown before checkout. Copyright and ownership are not transferred. The purchase does not grant commercial, synchronisation or project-use rights.
Read the Personal Use Licence and Terms for the complete purchase conditions. Earlier purchases retain the terms recorded with their order.
Separate permissions
Where an authorised platform, distributor, rights-management or licensing service, or Public Malfunction separately authorises a use, that use is governed by that separate permission. Buying a personal download does not create or expand it.
A personal purchase does not automatically prevent Content ID or similar rights-management activity on later uploads. It does not provide grounds to claim commercial, synchronisation or project-use permission. There is no promise that a claim will or will not occur, or that personal purchasers will be manually allowlisted.
Professional and media enquiries
Public Malfunction does not currently sell a standard one-project commercial licence through the website. For unusual professional or media enquiries, use the Contact route. An enquiry does not guarantee that a licence will be offered.
